How to apply for a place
It is crucial that anyone wanting to enrol at The Crest Academy’s Sixth Form Centre is on the right course to ensure their future success. Your GCSE results will determine what you can study and advice and guidance will be provided throughout the year and finalised on enrollment.
• 100 places available for 2019-2020
• Priority goes to Crest Academy students who meet entry grade requirements. Next stage would be students who live in the local area close to the school.
To truly get a feel of what it means to be a student at our academy we thoroughly recommend that you visit us.
At an open event you can meet and speak informally to teaching staff, you can seek guidance on your sixth form options from our in-house experts and you will have plenty of opportunity to tour the academy grounds. Open events for 2018 entry have now taken place but details of events for 2019 entry will be posted on this page.
If you would like to visit the 6th Form outside of open events, please contact us so that we can make alternative arrangements for you.
Waiting lists and appeals
Parents whose children have not been offered their preferred school will be informed of their right of appeal.
Appeals are administered by the Local Authority for this academy. Parents who wish to appeal against the decision to refuse their child admission should contact the Children’s Information and Advice Service on: firstname.lastname@example.org to request an appeal form. Appeals will be heard by an independent panel.
Children will also be added to the academy’s waiting list in accordance to the over-subscription criteria. The waiting list will be kept until January 2019.
