Mental health curriculum
To complement and sit alongside our educational curriculum, the trust has supported us to produce a personalised mental health curriculum to meet the specific needs of our pupils.
Our mental health curriculum is based on pupil voice gained from workshops across E-ACT academies, making them unique and based on real needs so our pupils develop their understanding of mental health as part of their everyday learning experiences.
Post-lockdown, we knew that a great deal of focus would need to be given to our pupils’ mental health and that they could not dive straight back into their educational curriculum as it was.
Designed to recognise our pupils’ most recent experiences and to provide opportunities for them to re-build relationships, our Relationships and Recovery Curriculum focussed on supporting our children to recover from trauma, anxiety and even loss while redeveloping important relationships.
